The Scenic Day Trip Route from Nuevo Baztan to Alcalá de Henares

This trail stage is highly comfortable and runs mostly downhill, though it does include a few brief and manageable uphill sections. Starting from Nuevo Baztan, head directly toward Pozuelo del Rey, where you should absolutely stop for a guided tour of the Gosalbez-Orti winery and vineyards to sample their excellent organic Qubel wines. Afterward, continue your journey passing through Villalvilla until you reach your final destination in Alcalá de Henares. Its historic university and medieval district are proudly listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site, cementing its status as a premier cultural travel destination packed with landmark attractions including the Complutum Roman ruins, the House of Hippolytus, the historic University of Alcalá, the Cervantes Birthplace Museum, the ancient Corral de Comedias theater, and the Regional Archaeological Museum.
