Description
To Aranjuez you can arrive perfectly by train from the city of Madrid or overnight the night before in one of the multiple and varied accommodations that the city offers. Aranjuez, whose cultural landscape is one of the elements inscribed in the World Heritage List of UNESCO, occupies a privileged place between the tourist destinations of the Community of Madrid. In Aranjuez, you can not miss the Royal Palace, the Gardens, the Royal Faluas Museum or the Casa del Labrador among other resources. Before taking the route in the direction of Chinchón, you can visit the Sea of Ontígola and the Bodegas El Regajal. If you decide to do it, you will have to add about 6 more kilometers (3 of one way and three back to Aranjuez). Once back, leave Aranjuez on the right bank of the Tagus to a fork that indicates "Villaconejos", on the right. Continue enjoying the landscape that is clearly going away from the Vega del Tajo. Watch for signs, you will arrive at the village of Villaconejos, where you can find small shops, a bar and a pharmacy. In this small town of air manchego, you can visit the Melon Museum. To continue, you have to take the road that goes next to the hermitage of Santa Ana, following the signs, you will arrive to Chinchón, where you must go first to its characteristic Plaza Mayor, where you will find its tourist office. It will provide you with information about the many tourist resources that the municipality has, including the Castillo de Los Condes, the Chain House, the Plaza Mayor, the Ethnological Museum, or local gastronomy. Also there you will be informed about the varied options that Chinchón offers to sleep, from the Parador, to some of its wonderful rural accommodations.
