Description
To Aranjuez you can arrive perfectly by train from the city of Madrid or overnight the night before in one of the multiple and varied accommodations that the city offers.
It is a suggested urban route to discover Aranjuez and all its tourist wealth.
Aranjuez, whose cultural landscape is one of the elements inscribed in the World Heritage List of UNESCO, occupies a privileged place between the tourist destinations of the Community of Madrid. In Aranjuez, you can not miss the Royal Palace, the Gardens, the Royal Faluas Museum or the Casa del Labrador among other resources.
The first stop of this route takes us to the Royal Palace, which was chosen by the Bourbons to establish their residence in spring. Visiting it allows us to get an idea of what the daily life of the royal families was like.
We continued to enjoy Aranjuez and headed to the next stop, La Casa de Caballeros y Oficios, which was designed by Juan Herrera (1584) and Gómez Mora (1767). It occupies the western side of the Plaza de la Mariblanca, to which it opens its beautiful arcades.
We invite you to know the wine of the area, scroll to the Bodega el Regajal where you can relax. The Regajal offers the opportunity to visit this unique enclave and to know in its integrity the processes of cultivation and elaboration of its wines.
The next stop takes us to four kilometers from Aranjuez, where the Royal Cortijo de San Isidro stands, a neoclassical town with real dependencies and a vast field of cultivation that Carlos III had built to be able to exploit the land and to activate the area. You can try to taste the wines of the winery that bears the name of the Cortijo.
Continue pedaling, then back to Aranjuez to reach the end of the stage, along the way do not miss the opportunity to visit the House of Marinos or Museum of Royal Pals located inside the Garden of the Prince.
