Stage 5: Alcalá de Henares to Algete

This stage runs between the Henares basin and the Jarama basin. In the lower countryside of the river Henares, between cereal fields and riverside forests, we will leave Alcalá de Henares in the direction of Daganzo de Arriba, but without reaching its urban center. We are in an area of ​​high ecological value, declared Special Protection Area of ​​the Birds and therefore included in the Natura Network, so it will not be difficult to see a flock of bustards, some other kestrel or even some elk deer . Continue heading west towards Ajalvir. Passing through Cobeña, you will arrive at Algete, the end of the stage, where you can find all kinds of services.
