Description
Leaving from Navalcarnero between fields of cultivation by a road with smooth undulations but with predominance of the flat ground, soon you will arrive at the Alamo. This is a town of clear flavor in La Mancha, where there are many farmhouses with Arabian roof tiles, built with adobe and whitewashed, many of them are on one or two floors, with interior patio and some with carriage entrance. From El Álamo take the road that leads you to the bridge over the river Guadarrama. The bridge is of shared traffic with motor vehicles, so it is advisable to use caution when crossing it. Take the road that leads to Batres up a very pleasant mountain area. You will soon see the Batres Castle, which is only possible to see on the outside. From there take the road that, through Serranillos del Valle, will take you to Griñón. In this municipality you can visit the Convent of the Poor Clares of the Incarnation. This convent was founded by the presbyter D. Rodrigo Vivar, in 1525. In its interior it keeps numerous works of art.
