Hondo, La Gran Tanganada: flamenco and roots

The Music Station Príncipe Pío hosts on September 17 a new edition of HONDO, a cultural proposal that consolidates itself as one of the most unique events in the current artistic panorama. Under the slogan “La Gran Tanganada: flamenco y raíz”, the festival brings together a prominent lineup of artists such as Kiki Morente, Soleá Morente, Remedios Amaya, Pastora Galván, Lin Cortés, and Tomasito in a unique scenic format that breaks with the traditional structure of live performances.

Inspired by the concept of “tangana”, HONDO unfolds on a single dynamic stage where all the action happens continuously. Musicians and artists share space and time, giving rise to a collective narrative in constant transformation, where emotion, energy, and surprise intertwine without pause.

The lineup features recognized figures from flamenco and root music such as Kiki Morente, Soleá Morente, Remedios Amaya, Pastora Galván, Lin Cortés, Tomasito, Samara Amaya, Maloko Soto, El Madriles, Curro Carrasco (Navajita Plateá), Paquito Vega, Ané Carrasco, Junquera Fernández, and Joselete Musho Gitano, with more artists to join.

The festival values flamenco and root music from a contemporary perspective, reinterpreting the tradition without losing its essence. HONDO champions proposals with their own identity that connect cultural heritage and new forms of expression, engaging with a diverse and culturally active audience.
