Raise the curtain MÍNIMA, the first international micro theater festival in Madrid with 15-minute plays for 15 spectators in 15 square meter rooms.
Eight micro-plays from Rosario (Argentina) open the festival this weekend with comedy, black humor, satire, irony, and absurdity.
Microteatro por Dinero, the Madrid venue located in the Malasaña neighborhood that created the format in 2009 and from where it expanded to the rest of Spain and other countries, hosts the first performances of the festival from tomorrow Friday until Sunday.
The festival serves as a celebration of the incorporation in 2026 of the term «microteatro» into the Dictionary of the Spanish Language of the RAE, a recognition of the consolidation of the format as a theatrical genre with its own identity.
