Tips for visiting Buitrago de Lozoya
It's always a good idea to plan ahead. The fortifications are divided into two zones. We have the lower walkway, that can be freely accessed from the medieval garden or from the Castle square. There you can see the Castle and the Coracha section of the walls. The other zone is on the south side —the high wall— which can be entered from the church of Santa María del Castillo during opening hours. It leads into the Torre del Reloj and to the exhibition of siege machines.

Ascend as high as possible to ensure the best defense and stake your claim to the skies.
