Behind the universe of Tulsa beats the heart of Miren Iza, a singer-songwriter from Donostia who evolved from the 90s punk pop to an exquisite way of weaving sung stories in Spanish. Throughout seven albums, Tulsa has built a sound refuge inhabited by the echoes of immense women —from Mari Trini to Beach House— and a deep love for the seventh art, which has led her to sign award-winning soundtracks. Her talent, which was already shining with a nomination for the Latin Grammy in 2007, reached its highest expression with the release of Amadora (2023), an album so brilliant that it has jumped to the stages of the theater and earned her the prestigious Premio Nacional de Músicas Actuales 2024.
