Stage 8: Miraflores to Manzanares el Real

Departing from Miraflores de la Sierra, along roads flanked by granite walls, we head for Soto del Real and, immediately, towards Manzanares El Real. In Manzanares awaits you the Castillo de Los Mendoza, a medieval castle that certainly deserves a visit. Pay attention to your schedule of activities because you may be surprised. In Manzanares you have the possibility of approaching La Pedriza, a unique corner of the Sierra de Guadarrama highly appreciated by climbers who practice the technique of "adherence", but also by hikers and, in general, by people who enjoy nature. If you want to know this enclave in detail, a good option is to go with your bike to the Visitors Center of La Pedriza. It is accessed from the M-608 by the detour of the kilometer point 25,700. The Center is located approximately 1.3 km on the road to La Pedriza and about 200 meters before the barrier to access it. Manzanares offers all kinds of tourist services, so it is a good place to rest until the next stage.
