    Royal House of Labrador

In the Royal Site of Aranjuez, where the majesty of the Royal Palace blends with the natural beauty of its gardens, there is an architectural treasure that reflects luxury and refined taste: the Royal House of Labrador. This small pleasure palace, built at the end of the 18th century on the initiative of King Charles IV, is an exceptional example of the neoclassical style and a must-see destination for lovers of art and history.

The Real Casa del Labrador was not conceived as a regular residence, but rather as a place of leisure and enjoyment for the king and his court. Its original design, the work of architect Juan de Villanueva, was transformed over the years, resulting in a building of great beauty and harmony. The interior, richly decorated by Jean-Démosthène Dugourc, dazzles with its sumptuous rooms and valuable works of art, including paintings by Mariano Salvador Maella.

This historic-artistic monument, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2001, is part of the legacy of the National Heritage, the body responsible for preserving and disseminating the assets of the State at the service of the Crown.
