Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport (MAD) is the main airport in Spain for passenger, cargo and operational traffic, as well as the fifth in Europe for passenger traffic. It is located 12 km from the centre of Madrid and has 5 terminals: T1, T2, T3, T4 and T4S.

It has flight connections to 30 national airports and 180 international airports to Europe, America, Asia and Africa. It is the European airport with the most flights to Latin America.

The airport is connected by high-capacity roads, the M-11, M-12, M-13 and M-14 highways, for access by private vehicle.

To get there by public transport, there are several options:

 

Taxi: Fixed rate of €33 (within the M-30 beltway) or €20 for the first 10 kilometres on the rest of the journeys, outside the M-30.

 

VTC: Uber, Cabify, Bolt... Pick-up in signposted car parks.

 

EMT city buses:

Line 200: Avenida de América interchange - T1 - T2 - T3 - T4 (€1.50).

Line 203: Atocha - Cibeles - O'Donnell - T1 - T2 - T3 - T4 (24 h. €5).

Line 101: T1 - T2 - T3 - Barajas - Canillejas (€1.50).

 

Intercity buses:

Line 822: San Fernando de Henares - Coslada - T1.

Line 824: Alcalá de Henares - Torrejón de Ardoz - T1 - T2.

Line 827: Tres Cantos - T4 - Canillejas.

Line 828: UAM - Alcobendas - T4 - Canillejas.

 

Metro:

Line 8: Nuevos Ministerios - Airport T1-T2-T3 - Airport T4 (28 min. journey. €3 supplement for users without a Transport Pass or Tourist Ticket).

 

Cercanías commuter trains:

Line C1: Príncipe Pío - Airport T4.

Line C10: Villalba - Airport T4.
