    Products from Madrid

Throughout the year, different markets promote Madrid foods that have been awarded the 'Protected Designation of Origin' for their quality. Oils, meats and wines are some of the products that our region offers and that will surely be up to the most demanding palates. Discover with us some of them and the markets where you can find them.

So, without leaving our region, you can find interesting wines, which under the P.D.O. Vinos de Madrid, which includes the three wine-growing sub-regions of Arganda del Rey, San Martín de Valdeiglesias and Navalcarnero.

Another alcoholic drink that is made in our region is also famous. We are referring to 'Anís de Chinchón' (anise drink), which owes its name to the town in Madrid where it is produced.

We change register and find the oils, which stand out in the market as a true benchmark of quality and high nutritional value, as well as the olives from Campo Real.

Worthy of mention is the meat from the Sierra de Guadarrama, which owes its quality to the climatic conditions and a privileged environment.

But there are also other products, which although they do not have the distinctive seal of 'Denomination of Origin', also have a high nutritional value and great quality such as strawberries from Aranjuez, melons from Villaconejos, garlic from Chinchón, or beans from the Sierra Norte.

All these products are promoted throughout the year in different markets. Meat from native livestock, artisan breads, cheeses, olives, sausages, vegetables, wines, or sweets are what you will find on 'Market Day in Madrid'.
